Revisiting History
History Investigators is a documentary series of 13 episodes of 52 minutes in which two forensic experts reopen and investigate emblematic cases from the period of Brazil's military dictatorship. Using cutting-edge forensic technologies and contemporary criminal investigation methods, the series revisits incidents that remained unresolved for decades. For the first time, these cases were analyzed from an exclusively forensic and scientific perspective, setting aside political interpretations to focus solely on evidence that could be verified through science. Produced over the course of nearly three years, the series reached important historical conclusions, including the circumstances surrounding the death of former president Juscelino Kubitschek (JK), new elements regarding the disappearance of the remains of Stuart Angel, son of fashion designer Zuzu Angel, as well as investigations into the deaths of educator Anísio Teixeira and journalist Vladimir Herzog. The result is a production that combines scientific rigor, criminal investigation, and documentary storytelling to shed new light on some of the most significant episodes in Brazil's recent history.
